When should I use an attorney?
If you have a difficult or contested case, you should. We prepare papers and assist with simple or “friendly” divorce matters, and we promise to do that well and quickly, saving you money in the process. |

Can I use you as my attorney? |
No, our company is not a substitute for any law firm as we are not qualified to give legal advice. Simply put, we cannot tell you what you should do in your specific circumstances and you will represent yourself. |
| |
You mean I can’t rely on you to help me make any decisions with my case? |
None of a legal nature. If your think your case is unusual, you should call an attorney, some of whom actually have quite reasonable fees. |
| |
How long does it take to start a simple divorce? |
We can meet and have your papers filed within a few days; the papers can be served a few days later. |
| |
How much do you charge? |
| Our service is always affordable. You are responsible for paying your court fees, but if you qualify for a fee waiver we will prepare a waiver application at no charge. Please call us, tell us what you need, and we’ll give you an immediate quote by phone. |
| |
Are there any extras? |
Our price includes filing in the courthouse on your behalf, which is a valuable extra. It does not include document serving costs (the Sheriff is $35) or any additional papers you ask us to type for you, for example an MSA or an Order to Show Cause, which will always be priced separately. |
| |
Why do you only operate in the Los Angeles area? |
That’s a big enough area for us, thank you. We are a local company promising great personal service, which you’re unlikely to get from a faceless corporation several states away. |
